About Journal

Peer review policy

All manuscripts sent for publication in Journal of Geo-information Science are strictly and thoroughly peer-reviewed, and the peer review process is double-blind peer review. Our editorial office first reviews the submitted manuscript whether it conforms to the publication scope of Journal of Geo-information Science. Then a deputy chief editor to review again whether the manuscripts conform to the publication scope, as well as the innovation and value of the manuscripts, and the deputy chief editor will send the manuscripts that have passed the review to two or more reviewers for peer review. The editorial office will track the review progress of the manuscript, collect at least two review comments, and submit them to the deputy chief editor, who will review whether the manuscript is accepted or not. Before submitting to the deputy chief editor for approval, the author is required to make sufficient modifications (peer review again if necessary). The deputy chief editor shall check and decide whether the manuscript is accepted according to the review comments, and then submit the manuscript to the chief editor for final review. Regardless of whether a paper is accepted or rejected, the editorial office will inform the author of the evaluation results. In the case of manuscripts in which one of the authors is an editor on the editorial board of the journal, that editor will be blinded from reviewing or making decisions on the manuscript.
