Journal of Geo-information Science is a double-blind
peer-reviewed academic journal, accepts research articles, reviews, subject
reports, academic activities and proceedings, information and special
issues/topics. The manuscript must be written in Chinese and should have been
neither published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. The strict
peer-review process can guarantee the academic level and raises the reputation
of the journal.
All published articles in Journal of
Geo-information Science are peer-reviewed and all
submitted manuscripts follow the process outlined below.
Initial
manuscript evaluation
All manuscripts submitted for publication
in Journal of Geo-information Science are firstly
evaluated by the editors in the Editorial Office or Editorial Board. The
manuscript should relate with the aims and scopes of the journal, otherwise, it
will be rejected.
Reviewer evaluation
After initial evaluation, the manuscripts are
sent to at least two reviewers, who are determined by the editors and/or
Editorial Board according to their expertise.
Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript’s
originality, methodology, contribution to the literature, presentation of
results and support for the conclusions, and appropriate referencing of
previous relevant studies. Reviewers might accept, reject or require a revision
for style and/or content.
