Editorial Policies

1. Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Geo-information Science are strictly and thoroughly peer-reviewed before acceptance and publication. The peer review process is double-blind.

Our editorial office first reviews the submitted manuscript to determine whether it fits within the journal's publication scope. An Associate Editor-in-Chief is then responsible for further reviewing the manuscript to ensure that it aligns with the journal's scope and to evaluate its originality and significance. Manuscripts that pass this review process are sent to two experts for peer review. The editorial office will track the peer review progress and after collecting the review comments from the two reviewers, will submit the manuscript to the Associate Editor-in-Chief, who will suggest whether to accept the manuscript or not. The author will be required to make necessary revisions to the manuscript before it is sent to the Associate Editor-in-Chief, and if necessary, the manuscript will undergo another round of peer review. After review by the Associate Editor-in-Chief, the manuscript will be sent to the Editor-in-Chief for a final decision on acceptance.

Regardless of whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected, the editorial office will inform the author of the review results. For manuscripts in which one of the authors is an editorial board member of the journal, that editorial board member will be blinded from reviewing or making decisions on the manuscript.

2. Originality

By submitting your manuscript to Journal of Geo-information Science, you agree that the manuscript is an original and unpublished work and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Plagiarism (including duplicate publication of the author's own work in whole or in part without proper citation) is strictly prohibited by the journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal will be checked for originality using the Academic Misconduct Literature Check (AMLC) System provided by CNKI.
