(1) Authors should extensively review the latest research findings domestically and internationally before writing, and list all referenced literature in the references to ensure a high starting point for the research. Manuscripts should have a clear theme, sufficient evidence, well-organized content, and concise language.
(2) Manuscripts should be in Word format, with single-column layout. Recommended font sizes for submission are:
① Chinese title in small 2nd size bold, subtitle in 3rd size bold (subtitles are generally not recommended). English title in 4th size Times New Roman.
② Chinese author names in 4th size FangSong typeface. Corresponding English names in 5th size Times New Roman.
③ Author affiliations in 6th size Song typeface.
④ Abstract and keywords in small 5th size Song typeface.
⑤ Main text: first-level headings (e.g., 1, 2, 3…) in 4th size Song typeface. Second-level headings (e.g., 1.1, 2.1) in 5th size bold. Third-level headings (e.g., 1.1.1, 2.1.2) in 5th size bold.
⑥ General text content in 5th size Song typeface.
(3) Chinese abstracts and English abstracts should be over 400 words, including data collection methods, analysis techniques, and main conclusions. Around 8 keywords are suggested.
(4) Headings at levels 1, 2, 3, and 4 should be numbered 1, 1.1, 1.1.1, (1), respectively, with all headings aligned left and flush with the margin.
(5) Use national legal measurement units with standard symbols, such as “m”, “km2”, “t”, etc.; professional terminology should follow national standards; terms, measurement units, and place names must be consistent throughout the text.
(6) Tables should use three-line format, with titles in both Chinese and English.
(7) Non-standard base maps will not be published. Special reminder: For maps involving national boundaries (domestic regions, national, partial world regions, global), the standard base maps provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources must be used (download URL: http://bzdt.ch.mnr.gov.cn/index.html), with the boundary of the base map completely unmodified (including the position of the South China Sea islands). To accommodate scaling during layout, linear scales should be used instead of digital scales. Below the map title, note: "Note: This map was created based on the standard map downloaded from the Natural Resources Ministry's standard map service website with the review number GS(20xx)xxxx, and the base map was unmodified."
(8) References should be listed in the order they appear in the text, with reference numbers marked in the upper right corner of the citation location. Unpublished documents should be listed as footnotes on the page. When referencing others' materials and data, carefully verify and cite the source. In English literature, the surname comes before the given name, e.g., J. C. Smith is cited as Smith J C for ease of retrieval by international indexing agencies and readers. Chinese and non-English references should have corresponding English (followed by other languages). Specific reference format requirements can be downloaded from the "Download" on the Journal of Geo-information Science website.
(9) English abstracts should be over 400 words, briefly stating the research objective and significance, methods, key observations, experiments, data, and main conclusions.
(10) After passing the peer review, authors are required to submit revised manuscripts:
① File name should use the first author's name.
② After peer review ,authors provide figure files for the "revision" stage (figures are not needed during peer review), named with the first author's name plus the figure number, e.g., Figure 1. Bar charts and line charts should provide an Excel file, and maps should provide TIF or similar files. Ensure that text and lines in figures are clear. In addition, as the journal is printed in full color (without extra charges for color pages), authors are encouraged to use more color figures.
③ Research papers funded by national or provincial departmental science funds and key projects should indicate the fund's Chinese and English names and numbers in a footnote on the first page.
